How Do I Choose: Pole Tent Or Frame Tent?
When deciding which tent to rent for your event, understanding the different styles will aid in selecting the right tent for you. The surface the tent will be on, the decorations, and the size of the event will all come into play. The two styles that I will discuss today are the Pole tent and the Frame tent, and how to know which to choose.
More suited for weddings and dignified events, the Pole tent is the more elegant of the two, while maintaining an affordable price. Evidently, the most notable feature of a Pole tent is at least one central pole that serves as the structure’s primary support. The center poles can easily be incorporated into the seating arrangements. The height of poles create ample room for decorating, eloquently incorporating the tent structure with lighting, drapes, etc.
When choosing a Pole tent, it is important to note the larger amount of space required for set up, as well as the ability for the tent to be staked into the surface beneath it.
The other popular tent style is the Frame tent, which maximizes the amount of space underneath the tent and does not depend on the surface below for stability. The most significant difference between the Frame tent and the Pole tent is the absence of the center pole, creating a complete unobscured space under the tent. Without the pole, this allows for complete creative freedom for the floor space.
In summary,
Pole Tents are simpler with an easier set-up, are typically less expensive, and have a more elegant aesthetic, whereas the frame tent can fit in tighter spaces, requires fewer stakes for stability, and includes more flexibility for placement of tables and chairs.
